SUMMARY
Proficiency in: arc welding, oxygen/ acetylene torch, metal fabrication, basic electrical and the ability to work at heights is preferred.
Maintains repairs on plant equipment and property.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under general supervision of the Plant Manager and according to established policies and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides preventive maintenance for plant equipment as appropriate.
Inspects and repairs equipment and machinery as necessary. Troubleshoots equipment problems when possible.
Keeps log on mobile and other equipment requiring service.
Inspects and remedies unsafe issues.
Assists with the installation of capital improvement projects.
Collaborates with vendors regarding price and inventory of supplies.
Verifies that all safety devices are in good working condition.
Keeps maintenance area clean and orderly.
Performs all maintenance on plant equipment and machinery as to predetermined schedule.
Attends safety meetings and complies with safety policies.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to read and understand warning labels, instructions, signs and similar information. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, electronics, and general repairs performed on equipment. Knowledge of the proper safety precautions and problems associated with plant equipment and machinery. Ability to work with equipment to increase production capacity and efficiency. Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, material handling equipment, gas monitor, and related equipment. Work requires bending to check and adjust machinery; working in confined spaces and in awkward positions; lifting heavy pieces of equipment and machinery weighing up to 93 pounds; and manipulating material handling equipment to orient machinery components. Education
High school graduate or equivalent. Technical training in maintenance preferred
Experience
Two years experience in a related manufacturing organization preferred
Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to dust, dirt, loud noise, heat, cold, and all types of weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in recurring jarring and vibratory exposure.
